The Green Space Project™ rating system is divided into levels of achievement, green diamond, blue diamond, and black diamond.  These are based on the levels of challenge at a ski resort.  Beginning skiers do not simply strap on their skis and head up to the black diamond slope.  They must begin with a lesson and a few runs down the green slope.  Once mastered, they move on to the blue slope which is a bit steeper and more complicated.  Finally, they head to the top of the mountain where they will find the ultimate challenge on the black diamond slope.  This slope is steep and curvy and filled with more obstacles.  Our goal is that each building taking on the GSP designation will advance to the top level of sustainability and maximum efficiency.

Green Space Project™ Green Diamond Certification is the beginner level of achievement and is designed for those buildings that are fairly new to sustainability and want to take “baby steps” toward greening their facility.  It is a step in the right direction for any building in the market whose owner is willing to make responsible choices and changes to see results.  This building is the beginning of a journey to the top level of sustainability and maximum efficiency. Your building may already qualify for this designation!

Green Space Project™ Blue Diamond Certification is the intermediate level of achievement and is designed for those buildings whose owners understand sustainability and feel confident in their efforts toward greening their facility.  A Blue Diamond building will see significant changes in water and energy consumption immediately after implementation of the changes.  This building is well on its way to heading up the ever steep slope of maximum efficiency.

Green Space Project™ Black Diamond Certification is the highest level of achievement and is designed as a benchmark for all buildings going through the Green Space Project™ program.  It is our desire that each building work its way toward Black Diamond status in an ever-increasing goal to achieve maximum efficiency through sustainable choices.
